Jess was diagnosed with a rare type of liver cancer when she was just 14 years old, not much hope was given and the prognosis was poor. The doctors did not know what sort of treatment would be best as there was so few cases. The odds were always stacked against Jess from the start, but she fought and never gave in and lived 3 and a half years more than she should have. This was a girl with attitude who never was scared of anything not even the cancer. Jess never felt sorry for herself and and made the most out of life, she lived more than most people do in just 17 years.
