I was just thinking it is 3 years today since Jess had surgery, this was the 2nd operation on the tumours when they came back in March 2006. I really had faith that Jess would get better, but even after the surgery and 5 rounds of chemo, the tumours came back in 3 more places. More surgery was given in November 2006. And still this bloody disease kept coming back. Last week i went to the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham to see the team that Jess was under (Dan Palmer and Prof Johnson) also attending was one of the oncologists from Birmingham Children's hospital. They want to set up a fund for Jessica's type of cancer, as Prof Johnson explained he saw his first case of FHC in 1974, since this date nothing new has been developed to treat this disease, basically they don't know what to do with people with FHC. Where Jess comes in, they want to set this fund up in her name, it will be called The Jessica Glynn Research Fund. The ffirst project is a very advanced blood test to use on patients with FHC, we already have enough money to carry this out. Further down the line we are hoping to have a dendritic cell vaccine trial for people with FHC, this is all very exciting, im hoping that be doing this we can save lives, and that by doing this Jess will not have died in vain. Although i will always love her and miss her with all my heart, and one day we will be back together when i have done all this work heere in her name, im hoping she will be as proud of me as i am of her.
