Today me and Na are going to Spain, we really need to spend some time together, it been a ver hard year. Of course we are both thinking of Jess, talking about previous holidays. It does not seem over 2 years since we went to Tenerife (April 2007). It was a make a wish that Jess was granted, she really wanted to go to Rhodes but at that time of year it was out of season, so we were kind of pushed to take Tenerife as Jess was due to have a scan as soon as she got back. Prior to the hol the scan had been clear, however the disease had returned on the scan after the hol. Jess wanted her friend Becky to come with us, so Jess, Becky, Na and me went to Tenerife. The Hotel was a Sol Hotel in Playa de las Americas, originally we had been offered a top hotel in Los Cristianos but Jessica's medical insurance cost over £3,000 because she was on chemo and had a hickman line in. The holiday started well, hotel was OK, but the resort was a bit cheap and tacky, but the resort we were going to go to was just next door, within walking distance so we could go there. The weather was nice not too hot, Jess hated very hot weather. Food in the hotel was a bit crap, but we decide to eact breakfast and try and eat lunch, then go out for our dinner. Jess, Na and Becky found a small bar round tthe corner from the hotel, the only thing was the bloke gave them free shots, so when i arrived Jess was very pissed so was Becky and Na. We went to another bar for them to dance off the alcohol, they were fine, a bit hungover the next morning though. The following night, Jess wanted to to go shopping, she had spotted a Roxy bag in the town and wanted to go and get it and a few presents So Na an Becky went to the bar, a big mistake letting them go on their own. So me and Jess had a nice evvening shopping and then met up with the others. However, Becky was really pissed when we got their, so Jess said we should walk her to another bar to try and sober her up. on the way Becky was jumping up and down and accidently her heel went through Jessica's toe. She was in loads oof pain so we went to the chemist to get some stuff to clean it up. She was in a lot pain, but seemed ok in herself. We went back to the hotel. About an hour later Jess knocked the door she was shaking and very cold, so she asked if she could come into my bed to warm up. After a while she was still shaking so i new i had to get her to hospital as she must have and infection and this could be very dangerous as she was on cheemo and had a line. The hospital was clean but the staff were awful, the docs were doing all sorts of tests to make more money.They also wanted to tranfer Jess to a cancer hospital were i couldd not go with her and she would be in complete isolation. She went mad, in the end the insurance company got her docs in the UK to sign to release her from the hospital in Tenerife as they refused at the Tenerife hospital. In the end she came back by air ambulance, i had to travel with the others as they were not old enough to come on their own. It was and eventful hol, me and Jess laughed about it after. She will be missed so much this year i wish more than anything that she was here with us but well, this is how it should have turned out. They say that God always takes the best, this is so true in this case, he must have big plans for Jess.
